Why Lease The IX
The iX's natural competitors are the likes of the Jaguar i-Pace, Audi’s E-Tron range and the EQC from Mercedes (see similar cars you might be interested in), plus BMW’s own models such as the iX3, which has more conventional looks.
Talking of looks, the iX incorporates the new style BMW kidney grilles, flanked either side by the slimmest twin headlights produced by BMW and equipped with the latest LED-light technology; under those big wheel arches are aerodynamic 20" alloys, with the option to upgrade to 21" or 22" wheels.
Two models will be available for the iX, the iX xDrive40 and iX xDrive5. Both use dual electric motors to deliver four-wheel drive as standard, with the xDrive50 offering 532bhp and a 0-62 figure of 4.6 seconds, compared to the 6.1 seconds in the 326 bhp XDrive40, both models are limited to a top speed of 124 mph.
Rapid charging gives 62 miles (100km) of charge in 21 minutes and both models can charge from 10 -80% in 40 minutes, the xDrive40 peak charging rate is 150kW, compared to 200kW on the xDrive50. Total range from the 70kWh battery fitted to the xDrive40 is 249 miles and the 100kWh battery in the xDrive50 gives up to 373 miles.
Inside the cabin, the dashboard features BMW's new curved display, which houses two displays a 12.3" digital gauge cluster for the driver and a 14.9" infotainment system with the latest generation of iDrive.
